The music industry has long been a powerful force for cultural change, and once again it's playing a pivotal role in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. EarthPercent are proud to announce we’ve completed the latest round of grants, using money raised from harnessing the power of music, aimed at accelerating climate action and environmental justice.

In July 2024, EarthPercent’s Expert Advisory Panels awarded a total of £200,000 in continuation grants to their existing grant partners. This funding initiative is part of EarthPercent’s commitment to fostering long-term partnerships that can generate lasting, meaningful impact for the planet and its communities.

“We believe in the power of music to inspire change,” said Cathy Runciman (EarthPercent Co-Executive Director). By providing ongoing and flexible support to organizations on the frontlines of environmental action, we hope to drive substantial progress in the urgent fight to secure the future of our planet.”

Investing in a Greener Future

A significant portion of the grants is dedicated to initiatives that focus on "Greening Music," ensuring that the music industry itself becomes a leader in sustainability. EarthPercent awarded:

We hope our latest round of grants underscores the critical role that the music industry can play in addressing the climate crisis. By funding these diverse initiatives, EarthPercent is not just supporting individual organizations but is also setting a precedent for how the music industry can be a catalyst for global environmental change.

This is just the beginning. We invite everyone in the music industry to join us in this mission to protect our planet and ensure a sustainable future for all. We hope that more artists, music companies, and fans will rally behind this cause, turning the beat of music into a drumbeat for climate action.
